Vicon has been a long-time leader in the corrections video security market for decades. In an effort to expand on this success, the company is hiring a correction's-focused business development manager that will help the company increase its market share in a vital vertical.

The Business Development Manager for Corrections will work with Vicon's management to develop a sound business plan to increase the company's exposure in Federal, State, County and City correctional opportunities.

Key functions and activities for this role include:

  • Develop strong relationships with key personnel within Correctional focused targets including Integrators, consultants and end users.
  • Visit key accounts to make personal presentations on the company's solutions.
  • Use knowledge of related technology and Vicon solutions to influence key stake holders to select Vicon over competing solutions.
  • Register, track and manage targeted opportunities within the company's CRM system throughout all phases of development to ensure Vicon success
  • Work with product development to drive Vicon solutions specific to this market that will enhance the Vicon offering and integrations.
  • Work with Vicon marketing to develop supporting cooperative programs and messaging to build brand awareness.
  • Coordinate and attend regional and national trade shows that focus on corrections and law enforcement

Essential Functions and Key Performance Indicators:

  • Develop a strategic marking plan for each target account to achieve annual objectives. Provide regular updates to management and coordinate field activities with Vicon channel managers.
  • Coordinate other Vicon resources including regional management, marketing assets, pre-sales engineering and technical support resources, and others to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Update target staff on new Vicon product introductions as well as organizing product demonstrations at regional offices.
  • Participate in business development activities by keeping abreast of competitive threats and opportunities, maintaining territory situational awareness, identifying key competitive issues and participating in local industry associations that can provide sources for new leads.
  • Maintain an accurate sales funnel and provide updates on a regular basis to management.
  • Create partnerships with other Business Units in territory to assist in overall Company sales.

 

Travel: Will spend sufficient time in the field to effectively perform job functions. It is expected this will require at a minimum 60% national travel.

 

Location: This is a remote position and candidate can reside anywhere in the USA.

 

Requirements include:

  • Outside sales experience; proven success in a quota-driven sales role
  • Relevant industry (Security Market) experience in Corrections
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 60% travel
